Blurb:
When Valka went on a quick recce she didn't even think that she would find anything. Now, looking into beautiful green eyes that reminded her of her husband she was painfully aware that what she found will change her forever.

Personal notes:
My god is this old and unpolished. Hiccup is OOC, Valka is a maiden in distress... However this fic carries memories, first engagement, first comments, the support of the only adult in my early life who supported me not for the status it gave them but because they wanted to see me thrive. (She died before I could post chapter 2, before I found a moment to tell her about my accomplishments.)
